Dr. de Maio is the founder of the MD Codes Institute, offering comprehensive educational programs both in digital format and through face-to-face interactions. These programs are designed to empower healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills to deliver exceptional aesthetic treatments using the MD Codes system.
As a board-certified plastic surgeon by the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery (CRM: 69 331 and RQE: 14 478), Dr. de Maio holds a Master's degree in Medicine (1999) and a Doctorate in Science (2006) from the esteemed Faculty of Medicine at the University of São Paulo. He is a member of the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery, the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS).
Dr. de Maio's contributions to the field of aesthetic medicine are globally recognized. He is the visionary behind groundbreaking concepts such as MD Codes, MD Dyna Codes, MD ASA, Aging Trigger Points, and Next Human. These concepts have revolutionized the way aesthetic treatments are approached and have set new standards in the industry.
Over the past 25 years, Dr. de Maio has conducted the MD Codes Tour, an international educational program that has reached healthcare professionals in more than 40 countries. With his commitment to sharing knowledge, he has educated thousands of professionals, and his impact has now expanded to over 70 countries worldwide.
Dr. de Maio's expertise extends beyond clinical practice. He has authored numerous scientific articles and internationally acclaimed medical textbooks, which have been translated into five languages. Among his notable works are "Injectable Fillers in Aesthetic Medicine" (Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg, 2006, 2nd edition 2014), "Botulinum Toxin in Aesthetic Medicine" (Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg, 2007), and "The Male Patient in Aesthetic Medicine" (Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg, 2009). Furthermore, he serves as the editor of the Aesthetic Medicine Compendium (Roca São Paulo, 1st edition 2004, 2nd edition 2011), a comprehensive resource featuring contributions from over 150 collaborators.
Dr. de Maio's dedication and innovation in the field of aesthetic medicine have been widely recognized. His article titled "MD Codes: A Methodological Approach to Facial Aesthetic Treatment with Injectable Hyaluronic Acid Fillers" was awarded the best article of 2020 by the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery journal.
